Ryan Trebon, 2006 and 2008 US National Cyclocross Champion, ended up not finishing (DNF) at the Cyclocross Worlds in Belgium on February 1, 2009. On the first lap he had some bad luck. He was doing really well and was up in the top 20 when he hit a camera boom that was hanging down on the race course. He was thrown from his bike and never recovered. No love for Tree Farm.
The top finishing American, Jeremy Powers, finished 35th. Ouch.
Those Europeans really know how to....ahem.....train....dopers!
