Out and Back

Rode out to the 12-hour with Eric and Jason, had a soda, and watched the sufferers suffer.
Then we had our own little sunset hell back into the pollinated head wind.
Oh, the tiny particles I've seen

This is hilarious. And also makes me a little uneasy about my future.

Another view

The Combi Pool at the Vans park in Orange. There's also an outdoor street course, an indoor street course, a couple mini ramps of varying sizes, and a vert ramp in there, too. Even crazier is that it's all in a full-blown shopping mall called The Block.
Wouldn't be so bad if this was in Lincoln, would it?

... it's Mother's Day. Call your mom and tell her you love her lots.

The Man

Bill Weiss told us a hot story about one of the last times he was at the Combi Pool. He had two boards, one for the street course and another bigger one for the Combi and the vert ramp. He also had two backpacks filled with pads, supplies, and other stuff, and he was going there to "practice."
Then it dawned on him, "Practice? I don't want to practice skateboarding. I'm over it." And he threw his bags and boards into the pool and just left.
