I had a plastic banana board when I was like 5, then a fiberglass banana board with an epic surf scene on it (learned to roll down driveway), then a piece o crap Variflex which I hurt myself on many times. But this Santa Cruz Slasher was my first real board. I remember I bought it in pieces as I saved money, first the deck which I hung on my wall, then the wheels, and the Indys, rails and tailbone completed it. It wasn't very long before I got rid of the tailbone, but that thing was a cruiser and still ollied good.
My first pair of vans too! And the stickers: Go Skate or Go Home!
