Yes!
That's a double flat, people.
Wilderness is prime, though. Get there RIGHT NOW and enjoy the warm conditions of whatever season this is.
You might want to avoid that limestone path that's out by the old Speedway Motors, just north of the park.
No less than fifteen goat heads in each tire, and that's a modest estimate.
Looking forward to using a needle nose and getting intimate with my Nanoraptors for a couple hours this Valentine's evening.

slime
it works
I think you mean, "Slime. It works sometimes."
Wouldn't have helped with this one.
Instead, I'd have ended up with the Slime worst-case scenario.
Green shit everywhere.
You know what does work pretty well, though?
Not rolling through piles of goat heads.
It got me last night too! Instant Double flat on my crossbike going about 20. I was coming from under the last bridge heading to wilderness. Man it was beatiful Tailwind, limestone trail along salt creek, tunes going in my ear. Then my front wheel pops and my rear wheel goes. I grab two handfuls of brakes. With the limestone and a slight curve plus two flats I ended up in the big white rocks on the left side of the trail. Fixed the two flats and limped over to hightops house for a ride to Lincoln General. Just a bad sprain. Man i've got a heck of a limp today.
Sorry for long comment!
That trail is so fun a few times a year. But there seems to be no escaping the goatheads!
Oh yeah!
Thanks Hightop!
now i see...what the needle nose were for. bummber dude.
joey and I were pulling bike trailers back from the swap meet 2 falls ago along that trail. We both got double flats on our trailers. I think I must have had 100 or so thorns in one of the tires. it went in the trash.
