Friday am in Yelapa

being thrown back into activities at the hotel. I have found myself snorkling nearly every day.
eels, rays, urchins, more tropical fish
than you see in the usual zoo aquarium.
water is warm, and clear. you can see down 30-40 ft easy most days
got a little office work to do today,
then back down to the dock for some
more time in the water. trying to get as much time in the ocean right now before I head to Yosemite for the summer months...
clouds

Clouds are one of my favorite things to photograph, especially cumulonimbus clouds like this monster brewing up some nastiness east of Denver last night.
Guitar Ted at Platte River -- 4pm Friday -- Be There...

Guitar Ted and I will be at the Wild Turkey lot of Platte River State Park at 4pm Friday afternoon for anyone who'd like to join us. It looks like it's going to be an awesome afternoon!
For those of you who don't know, Guitar Ted is the promoter of the legendary TransIowa gravel grinder and the Big Wheeled Ballyhoo, and publisher of the www.twentynineinches.com, Guitar Ted Productions, The Cyclist and other cycling-oriented Web and blog sites. He's a super cool guy and this is a fun opportunity to show him one of our best local trails.
I hope you'll join us.

i want it all
Professional photographer, I am not.

Well, in case you're wondering, NO... my neighbor still hasn't mowed his lawn. Even after I called the realtor a week ago, posing as a perspective buyer, telling him about the lawn. But that's not what today's post is about.
Many of you who read this are involved in media as a career. Today I am also a contributor. The two close up food photographs at the bottom of the page were taken by me for a blog entry 6mo ago. A local glossy tourist magazine did a feature on picnic friendly restaurants and we got chosen for the article. They asked us to submit our own photos (really credible mag?), so I had a friend do the basket shot outside the restaurant and I contributed the others. My first photo cred. Awesome. Even if my wife thinks all of them suck.
David Carradine RIP

"Kung Fu" appeared on TV in 1972 when I was in high school, all of us young hippies loved it. Rest in Peace.

150 Miles Of Dirt In Nebraska
The images are trickling in and they're about as epic as you'd expect.
What you'll find at In Flagrante Photo is the still photography work of the two video dudes on Rapha's Lincoln Continental ride — Dave Christenson and Adam Kolkman — as blogged by Carey Schleicher-Haselhorst.
More (video and stills) to come, fo sho.
Literal Video: Total Eclipse of the Heart

Conservatives Warn Quick Sex Change Only Barrier Between Gays, Marriage
Conservatives Warn Quick Sex Change Only Barrier Between Gays, Marriage
I feel like the more I read the onion, the crazier the real new sources start to feel and the more realistic all this fake news seems--or maybe i'm going nuts.
