Ever listen to the music they pump out at the grocery store, the dentist office, the consumer electronics warehouse? I do, and usually it makes me want to quicken up and leave quicker. Maybe that's the point.
But when I walked into the shop yesterday, they were playing The Minutemen and I swear to Allah, I couldn't leave. I wanted to sit there, not go back to work, just listen, and spend all my money on small parts.
So in celebration of that feeling, I invite you to skip work a little bit on this beautiful Friday and nod your head to the greatest band of all frickin' time.
