holy shit- a 29er. i saw on a discussion board that they were gonna sell for like $450 or something like that. crazy. as for the 9•2•5- its funny that there is now a production bike built up the way commuters and such have been doing it for years. know how much that one is supposed to be?
There's some other cool stuff on their site, too.
Look around.
Nice cyclocross stuff, journals, and BMX history (Redline's is as rich and deep as anyone's).

nice. If i had funds i would probably get a new bike, but i don't and i need a hobby to get me away from the computers so i am looking to convert an 80's touring frame (faggin , tee-hee) into a fixed gear and see if i can get all hardcore here in SF.
my first fixed gear was converting a trek 420 (420 dude) from '84 or '87- can't remember which. still ride it allmost every day. its the way to go- if it has the front facing horizontal drops- which most all bikes from that era do- your set. riding fixed in SF may get you some new knees sonner then later.
as a side note- i spent sat and today riding fixed for the first time through wilderness. it was super fun- not as sketchy as i thought it would be though i wasn't going as fast as len would either. someday...

yeah- sheldon brown has a lot of info. there is also http://fixedgeargallery.com/ for all your fixed gear looking pleasure. actually- there is a ton of stuff out there. http://www.63xc.com/ is another good one. good luck w/ your project.
