Another Name For Friday — Barbee/Watt/Treece
You know what I want to hear?
Something with like Mike Watt, maybe Ray Barbee on guitar, and then throw on a little Chuck Treece on drums.
Yeah. And have a couple real skaters film and edit it ... I don't know. Buddy Nichols and RIck Charnoski or someone like that.

homie
a few pretty darn cool things...
First off, i think this was/is a pretty rad thing... Familia Skateboard Shop in MN is giving juice to YOU, the skateboarder! they got this thing called "YOU Interviewed" where there is a set of questions anyone can answer, any age or skill level, along with some photos and they post it on their site, the results so far are pretty awesome. worth a look for sure, its updated all the time. YOU should submit yours ASAP!

Free Samples

Part of my job is receiving and sampling different beers and wines. Tough job, I know. It has been a few years since I tried any of the Pike beers from Seattle. I kind of forgot about them for awhile because they never made much of an impression on me. I recently got a few new samples and was really impressed this time around. especially with the Monk's Uncle and the Extra Stout. I really like Belgian Beers and the monk's Uncle was not disappointing in the least. I generally do not like stout beers, but after sampling theirs and another which shall go nameless. I have to say, I could be a convert. Try em on for size if you have the opportunity. You shant be disappointed.

Miss Katie + Lil Wayne
Auto-Tune The News superstar Katie Couric pairs up with Auto-Tune the blues overachiever Lil Wayne in the Pulitizer Prize winning Feel Good Piece Of The Year.
Thanks, Sam.
ramping up

Okay. Yeah. Not really.
There hasn't been a sense of urgency on this part of the kitchen project. I've been taking my time, for sure. I have to get comfortable with each step before fastening it in place. I hate un-doing stuff.
Nothing in the house is 90deg to anything, but the counter will be in straight enough (I dropped it down to a livable level) and there's ample room between it and the upper cabinet now.
And I've got a mess to work with for the electrical supply to the oven in the cabinet.

cyclocross nationals coming soon

Just a reminder kids. Bend is hosting the cyclocross nationals this year and next. I know that most of you coming have probably already had your team manager book your 4 star accommodations and your team mechanic has been here for weeks doing soil samples and precipitation forecast models. But for the rest of you, feel free to contact me either before you get here or after arrival if you have any questions I can help you out with. Also I will be offering considerable discounts to participants at my restaurant. Good luck and Good Problems.
