This tv airing of Devo was the turning point of my musical reality; when i first realized fully that there was something more than Led Zep, Boston, Aerosmith, etc. and the radio was hiding stuff from me.
I remember watching this episode of SNL with my family and thinking how great, crazy, weird Devo was and I needed to know more.The rest of my family hated it and changed the channel, I made them switch back, like I said I needed more. There I was sitting on the couch like a deaf/dumb little seed waiting to be watered with "new wave". It was a little work back then in suburbia to find punk rock but it didn't take long, and now look at me! At least I was saved from complete normalacy. Thanks Devo! FIL!
