back to mountain time

I flew back to Denver and Cheryl and the boys got a ride from Aunts Marcia and Nancy and we all met up at Casa Bonita. Do you know about that place? It's a Mexican restaurant with indoor "cliff" diving. I've heard about it for years, but have never gone.

It’s a strange place in the corner of some random strip mall with a full-on amusement park atmosphere. They funnel you through those same chained off mazes they have at Worlds of Fun and then you order from a menu of bad, back-lit photos of the meals.

The food was very average, the margaritas gave me the gnarliest ice cream headaches I've ever had, but THERE WERE DUDES JUMPING OFF THE FAKE ROCKS INTO A POOL!
Miles and Cian dug it.
Skated the Denver park, which I think is way better than Casa Bonita and then drove up to an empty hotel in Vail and went to slept.

Next morning we headed straight to Carbondale. The park is insane. Very manly. The guys had to slide down inside the bowls, but once they were down there, it was cool. Cruised for about an hour and then headed up to Difficult Campground.

More about that later, homies.

I wonder how much a park like carbondale would cost to build in Lincoln at that new proposed site

Whoa, that looks awesome. Was that park funded by the city or private donations?

I've been thinkin' about getting a long board. Since I can't really ride, I figure skating would be fun.

oh, i've been to the casa bonita. can't believe that place is still around. i bet it was 25 years ago when i was there. same story as the sweeper - always stopped there on the way back from ski trips. i also remember they poured your water from as far up as they could reach.

and that park. super MANLY! wow.
