those crazy hipster fixey kids

on sunday i took this picture of cheap plastic friction shifter being used as a brake lever, with v-brakes. anyone seen a similar application? i think it results in a false sense of security, sort of like my health insurance plan:

    I think they are just getting used to how a break works on a wheel chair.

    seeing as how they will be needing one if they are lucky enough to survive the soon to be happening traffic accident they are about to be involved in.
