Vegas Baby

Some how I have made it almost 37 years without ever going to Las Vegas. To be truthful I never really had the desire. But last week i made it there for a Food Manufacturer's Expo, where i looked at multiple $60,000 100-gallon kettles, robots that would do everything from pick up a computer chip to wrapping entire pallets of goods in plastic wrap and everything in between. When people found out I was going and had never been before, most had the same reaction. "It will be interesting to see what you think about it when you get back", they would say. As it turns out the only advice I got before hand and used, was from Dave Carnie's Blog Food ON Drunk when he recommended Thomas Keller's restaurant Bouchon. For someone who's been in the game for as long as me, it is nice to be impressed. Thanks Dave.
