Sweet! The only problem with goofy as far as I see it is that when you hit your mid thirties it starts to get real painful holding your right knee and ankle in position on long car trips.
The fricking Beastie Boys played! Yeah, you read me right. Keeping with the “skateboarding needs a soundtrack” theme of the weekend, the Beastie Boys pumped out a rip roaring set to close down the day’s activities. Sole Tech turned their parking lot, which is located just a hundred yards up hill from the Lake Forest Skatepark, into a massive concert venue complete with one of those huge black mesh covered stages, lights, stacks of speakers, and a little too much-brute force security. The Beastie Boys, in turn, delivered a cool mix of old stuff and new, and then encored as a Check Your Head three-piece, dusting off their instruments and making their own music as very few hip-hopers have been known to do.
