It’s cross season in Nebraska — and everywhere else, I imagine — and contrary to popular marketing and myth, it doesn’t mean it’s time to glue tubulars, or drill dismounts, or hup hup some run-ups. [ more of my first post to Level mag here ... ]

party @ the BorK haus. Need a bit of halp moving some pinball machines too.
Sat Oct 10th we will be having a kegger to christen the new man cave (pictured above) We have been working all summer on cleaning out the basement and finally can move my pinball machines into the basement. Soooooo.... how better to get folks to help me move my pinbot and bride of pinbot along with a keg fridge into our basement than offer beer, chili, cinnamon rolls, and good times?
We have a fully loaded wii and might get some live music going on. 3 PM start. 429 F st. I am going to get a dartboard here in the next few days and stuff so if you want to swing by that would be awesome. I have my messageboard down with helping and the actual moving part should only take a few minutes.

record store
ti and i are on a shoot in new hampshire. went to a college record store, like I use to when i was younger, i afraid they are for the most part a thing of the past. this was a little hidden gem in the basement of a building in Keene, new hampshire---this jazz band The Bad Plus was playing, fell in love with the music and bought the cd called "Suspicious Activity?" nice

Eat the Male
I almost ran over this fine specimen of tarantula one evening. She was just out to find a mate, kill him, lay her eggs in his corpse so that when the babies hatched they could consume their host/father. Makes you think.

A couple of new bikes in the family this month. These bikes should really get both Molly and I to the next level. I'm hoping to get pedals for myself some time next year.

Tracker Skateboard Bikes
So this bike was given to my wife by her brother Kevin a really long time ago and for the last 5 or 6 years it's been my commuter. It was made in 1990 by Tracker Skateboard Trucks, but I don't know much else about it. I have not changed much on it, replacing only the tires and have removed the pedal cages. I love showing this bike off and it deserves a feature on a blog that is mostly about skateboarding and bicycles. Look closely at some it's unique features. All XT, motocross sized brake levers, rear brake on bottom of frame, carbon handle bars and check out where the front brake cable is routed down the stem. It has both Tracker and Mammoth stickers on it, but I don't know what it is exactly. I just love it.
