At a time when the country feels so divided on so many issues, it's a good thing to remember what it felt like to all be on the same page.
Before 9/11 became a symbol, or a piece of political rhetoric, it was a real day and a real tragedy in our real lives.
And for a time, we were gentler to each other, showed more love to complete strangers because of it, because they were people and we were people and because that was enough reason.
Take a moment today to just sit still and remember.
